Preparing Peanut sweets in class
Today our students found an interesting class. They prepared Peanut sweets - called shenga chikki in local language.
They were quick to grasp the instructions. First few students roasted the peanuts, removed the covering very cautiously dealing with the stove, they boiled the jaggery. Later a few students mixed them in a vessel. After cooling down, they cut them into little shapes.
The chikki was delicious. Students enjoyed the process. This session came out to be very useful and unique. Students demanded more of such classes.
And not just that, they themselves packed the chikki into small packets, and sealed them. Making them market ready was the conclusion. The students learnt a lot of things today.
